(Yahoo!) - Garth Brooks famously hung up his cowboy hat and retired from music back in 2000 so that he could spend more time with his family. He vowed not to return full-time, at least until all three of his daughters graduated from high school. Well it looks as if that time has come! His youngest daughter is graduating in the spring, and Garth is hitting the road to perform with his wife, Trisha Yearwood, on a world tour in 2014 — proving, yet again, that it's all about family.
"Omg! Insider" sat down with the country star on Monday after the big announcement, and he explained why the timing is perfect. "That road guilt of just going, 'Man, I should be there. I shouldn't be missing this.' That's all gone away. Now I'm getting to travel with my wife who's also my best friend."
And Garth wouldn't have it any other way, saying, "The 2014 world tour, where it all begins, we'll go together. I would never think about going separate."
The singer also revealed what fans can expect to see between Trisha and him during their performance. "There's something about her and I on stage just talking to each other that kind of shows you an inside picture of what it's like at our house," he shared. "I'm fully aware of who wears the pants in the family. I'm fully fine with it. And everyone calls me Mr. Yearwood at home, and I couldn't think of a better name."
