(Paradise Valley, AZ) -- Expanded instant replay is on in Major League Baseball. League owners, umpires and the players union have all approved expanded replay to review plays, including home runs, ground-rule doubles, fan interference, tag plays, fair and foul balls in the outfield and trapped balls by an outfielder. Managers will have at least one challenge. If any portion of a challenged play is overturned, then the manager retains the right to challenge one more play. Once a manager's challenges are gone and after the start of the seventh inning, umpires can invoke replay on their own for any reviewable play. Teams will now also be allowed to show all replays on stadium video boards even if the play is not reviewed.
