Trisha Yearwood Reveals Her Love Story Soundtrack, ‘For The Last Time’

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are the definitions of happily ever after.

The superstar power couple were married on Dec. 10, 2005, and the flame still burns just as brightly in 2019 as it did 14 years ago.

In a recent interview with Cody Alan, Trisha opened up about a very personal song that she co-wrote alongside Garth but didn’t initially think would make the cut on her “This Is Frank” album which was released on February 15th.

Trisha candidly shared that she never intended to have an original song on this record. However, “For The Last Time” seemed fit perfectly.

“It was a song that I never intended to be on this record.” Shared Trisha. “But, Garth and I had written this song together before ‘This Is Frank’ ever happened. I came home with a title, and he had this melody that sounded like a throwback from another era. So, when we finished it, we weren’t really sure where it should be.”

Trisha continued to share the story behind the song.

“When this album came about, Garth encouraged me to play it for Don and our arranger, Vincent Mendoza and they both said, ‘We are doing it.’ So, I would have never said Gershwin was good, but let me show you what I got.” Laughs Trisha.

“For The Last Time,” made its mark and has quickly become a favorite on the ‘This Is Frank’ album which pays tribute to Trisha’s favorite Frank Sinatra songs. ‘This Is Frank’ is available now. Listen to “For The Last Time” by clicking the link below.
