Maren Morris unveiled the cover and plot of a soon-to-release children’s book she co-wrote with writer, educator and friend Karina Argow. The sweet story with a powerful message tells the tale of Addie Ant, who embarks on an adventure and learns important lessons in friendship along the way.
The book, Addie Ant Goes on an Adventure, includes illustrations by Kelly Anne Dalton. Morris shared the cover of the children’s book on Instagram on Wednesday (October 11), along with a brief sneak peek of the pages inside. the “Circles Around This Town” star announced that the book will release in April 2024.
“ADDIE ANT GOES ON AN ADVENTURE is the delightful story of one little ant’s journey for independence,” Morris, who welcomed her own child in March 2020, shared on Wednesday. “Addie Ant sets out on her first solo garden adventure, but gets lost along the way, finding help from her trusted garden pals, Lewis Ladybug, Beatrix Butterfly, and Cleo Cricket. This book touches on themes of friendship and learning when to ask for help for little readers.”
“Inspiring others through words and lyrics is a lifelong passion of mine,” Morris added in a statement, per PEOPLE. “To be able to give back to young learners in this way, to instill in them at a young age a deep love for the world around them gives me great hope for the future.”
