Maren Morris teased âsomething better than a valentine,â set to release on Thursday (February 15), one day after Valentineâs Day.
The award-winning artist shared a sneak peek video on her Instagram story on Wednesday morning (February 14). It captured Morris taking the stage and dancing through Grimeyâs, a staple music store in East Nashville, Tennessee. The video is simply captioned with Thursdayâs date and Morris letting her Instagram followers know that she has âsomething better than a valentine coming tomorrow đâ
Morrisâ latest music release is The Bridge, a two-track collection that arrived in September 2023. Morris, who is also set to debut a childrenâs book this spring, released âThe Treeâ and âGet The Hell Out Of Hereâ on The Bridge. Together, the two songs honor âwhere Iâve been and but also feels like a forward step into the sun,â she said at that time. She added that sheâd been working ânonstopâ on her next full-length project, and ârealized these two songs deserved a moment on their own - a story in their own right, written a day apart from each other - a tender duo and bridge to my next album.â
The teaser also comes shortly after Morris finalized her divorce from fellow singer-songwriter Ryan Hurd after five years of marriage. Morris, 33, and Hurd, 37, parted ways because of âirreconcilable differences,â and will split time evenly with son Hayes Andrew Hurd, who turns 4 next month.
