Carrie Underwood took the spotlight with her glamorous looks on American Idol this week (following her recent beach-worthy wardrobe pieces in Hawaii).
The Grammy Award-winning country star shared details about this week’s looks when she posted photos on Instagram. On Monday evening (April 21), Underwood wore an eye-popping pink dress with metal floral detail and fringe, along with shimmering gold heels and a bold hair piece.
Underwood took the stage on Sunday evening (April 20) in a gorgeous flowing gown to perform “How Great Thou Art.” The song is one of 13 tracks that appears on the country star’s collection of gospel hymns, My Savior, which released in March 2021. Underwood, her fellow judges — Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan — and others performed “Songs of Faith” to celebrate Easter.
When she wasn’t performing, Underwood wore a stunning blue floral gown on Idol. She was wearing the strapless look when she offered a glimpse of a behind-the-scenes moment when she led an a cappella sing-along with the American Idol audience during a commercial break. Together, the whole venue sang “Before He Cheats,” one of the first hits of Underwood’s career. She included the breakup anthem on Some Hearts, her debut album she released after winning American Idol’s fourth season in 2005. Underwood made her highly-anticipated return to the show this year, serving as a judge for the first time 20 years after her victory.
