Amy went out to dinner recently and found herself caught in a tough situation... seeing a dish at another table that looks too good to ignore.
She noticed the table next to hers had a pasta dish that looked absolutely amazing, so she decided to ask what it was. The couple kindly told her which dish it was... but then immediately warned her not to order it. “They were like, ‘It’s so salty,’” Amy said. “But it looked so good! I still wanted to get it.” Then things got interesting, the couple actually offered to let her try it.
That’s when Amy turned the moment into a game for the studio: Would she actually take them up on it and try a bite of their food? Here were the options:
- A) She took them up on the offer and reached over with her fork.
- B) They put the pasta bowl on her table and said she could have it.
- C) She politely declined the offer.
- D) The server overheard and brought her a sample to try.
Everyone guessed their answers and most thought she’d tried the pasta. But in the end, Amy revealed she didn’t eat it. “I thanked them but declined,” she said. “I’ve been bummed about it ever since! What if their taste buds are just off and it was actually delicious?” She ended up ordering a different pasta dish the server recommended and ironically, it was also salty. “Everything that night tasted salty,” Amy laughed. “Even the bread and butter!”
Looks like the mystery pasta will remain one of life’s great food “what ifs.”
