The first thing Hillary Scott will tell someone about herself is that she’s a proud mother to her daughers. That’s according to her Lady A bandmate Dave Haywood, who has known her for more than a dozen years.
Scott and her husband, drummer Chris Tyrrell, are parents to Eisele Kaye, 11, and Betsy Mack and Emory JoAnn, both 7. They announced this year that Scott is pregnant with Baby No. 4, another girl due this summer. The Lady A star has shown that talent already runs in the family. During a Lady A concert in St. Louis in August of 2021, Scott introduced her daughter to the crowd, and Eisele “definitely stole the show.” The mother-daughter duo covered Amy Grant’s 1991 song “Baby, Baby,” on stage together. They also released a mother-daughter Christmas duet in 2024, and Eisele Kaye made her debut at the historic Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. Lady A also shared a moment that Scott’s daughters surprised her while the trio shot photos for their latest album, What A Song Can Do.
Here’s what Scott is like as a mom, as described by her longtime bandmate Haywood:
“We started out and met Hillary in 2006. So, known her for over a dozen years, and have watched her really grow up. Now, she is a mom of three, an amazing wife, an amazing mother. And she always puts her kids first. I mean, there is not a day where she doesn’t show me a photo, tell me a story, and give me some kind of cute moment, or hard moment or a real life moment with her daughters. And I love how proud she is of them. If you know her, you know that she has three girls, and that’s the first thing she’ll share with you. And so, she is so proud and such an amazing mom that always leans in with her heart, connects with her daughters on a deep level and works so hard to provide and to be there for them in all aspects.”
Scott is one of several country artists welcoming a baby into the family in 2025. Others with babies on the way include Lauren Alaina, Jordan Davis, Scott's bandmate Charles Kelley, and more. See the pregnancy announcements here.
